Hi everyone!
I’m delighted to be part of this year’s Pride Storybundle. For those of you new to bundles, they’re a great way of getting a collection of books at a great price while also supporting an important charity - in this case Rainbow Railroad.
It includes two of my favourite works of last year - The Four Profound Weaves and No Man’s Land, established queer authors like Melissa Scott and exciting newcomers like Leigh Harlen. It’s looking really good even if I do say so myself.
You can buy it here - for yourself or for a friend, or maybe both!
I’m currently reading The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones and it has one hell of a pace. Won’t say more til I’ve finished but it’s definitely keeping me absorbed. I learned a lot from Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha’s Care Work. Tochi Onyebuchi’s Riot Baby is incredible and I don’t think I’ve read anything like it, while Midnight Bargain by CL Polk was satisfying and enjoyable fantasy/romance.
I’m delighted to bring you a couple more promotions as well. Grab one of a heap of free witchy books over at Witch’s Brew or check out discounted space opera shenanigans at Sopera-75.
Lastly, a couple of cool things I’ve seen around. Rem Wigmore’s upcoming book Fox Hunt has a cover by Laya Rose and it’s gorgeous. I’ve been following this thread of threads of speculative stories/poems by Palestinian authors by Bogi Takács. I liked this exploration of what an autistic planet might look like by Ada Hoffmann. Lastly, check out this Kickstarter for plant themed stories of queer growth.
